Green Energy

The Green Energy Project is a collaborative project in partnership with the University of Lethbridge (UofL) and the Siksika Group of Companies (SOG) to develop OSCC curriculum in food security, renewable energy, and environmental sustainability.

Background

OSCC has observed and perceived the need to create learning opportunities in the fields of food security, energy conservation and sustainability. Our partnerships with UofL and SOG also share the vision of making a significant contribution to the larger Siksika Nation to provide sustainable learning and health opportunities of OSCC Students and Siksika Nation members.

The learning concept envisioned is to build knowledge about science and technology applications; engage in traditional educational opportunities regarding food security and sustainable food production; and, develop employment skills which may lead to enhanced career opportunities.
